Derby party
Reply Quote

Greetings all!  I should have thought to post this here sooner, but better late than never.  We will be having a Derby party...all are welcome.  It's looking like the weather will be nice.  We will have food and beer and games etc.  3925 Rankin St. (off 3rd south of where Southern Pkwy splits off, between 1st and Brook.)  There should be parking in my neighborhood (there was last year), but remember that 3rd will be blocked off (I think between Central and Winkler.)  Hope to see you there, and if you can't make it, hope to see you soon.

Jeff

just in case this is needed:

I think the best bet should be Watterson to 3rd st. either west or north (towards town and Churchill Downs) whichever, past the old Kroger on your right, right onto Kenton St. Then cross second and look for Rankin on your left. We are the last house on the right facing the street.

If you get diverted off of Third, remember that 1st street does not go all the way through up to Rankin. If the 3rd st. southern pky exit is closed for some reason, then you are stuck getting off at Crittenden and finding Park Blvd. to Louisville Ave. From there you should to be able to take a right on any of a few streets and cross the railroad tracks. Take a right onto Strawberry Ave. and go to the last left, which should be Fairmont Ave. From there you can turn right onto either 1st or 2nd, and then right onto Kenton. Whew!
